Brand Launch

Today, Meals on Wheels North West announced it’s new name – Caring Cuisine.

In a statement to volunteers, Chief Executive Officer Alexi Paasonen stated:

“We wanted a name that would reflect our mission, our culture, and our legacy. Our commitment to high quality services. Our commitment to support our local community. Our commitment to genuinely care about our clients.”

Caring Cuisine is committed to retaining the legacy of the organisation. Meals on Wheels Mitchelton and Meals on Wheels Western Suburbs Inc. amalgamated in 2021 to form Meals on Wheels North West Inc. with the vision of providing the community with a modern organisation able to deliver consistently high quality meals. Combined the organisation has over one hundred years of service to their respective local communities.

This change comes alongside a suit of service quality improvements the organisation has announced, including the addition of a 3rd fresh meal option each day, a more extensive frozen meal list, and a commitment to switch to more sustainable meal packaging by July 2023.

President, Kathryn Manifold, said that the new name would provide more opportunity to improve the quality of services.

“This change isn’t a change to our identity, but rather a true reflection of who we are. We are a team that constantly challenges ourselves to improve, and have the relevant industry experience to achieve it. Our fully qualified Chefs have worked in restaurants across Australia, corporate and event catering, our Head Chef has even cooked for the Premier. This new name is to demonstrate our recommitment to provide high quality services that meet modern community expectations.”

Over the last 12 months, the organisation has seen the demand for services skyrocket, with the number of meals delivered in 2022 exceeding 120 000.

Caring Cuisine is working closely with clients and their families during this transition to minimise any confusion caused.
