Volunteers

Volunteering for Caring Cuisine

Thank you for considering volunteering with Caring Cuisine.

We rely on volunteers to make deliveries to our clients. This isn’t just a way for us to keep our prices low for the community, but rather it’s part of our identity.

We pride ourselves on keeping volunteering local. It’s about building relationships between members of the same community. Often, our volunteers live in the same neighbourhood, have been to the same shops, and sometimes even know the same people as our clients.

Delivery runs last 2 – 3 hours, and we deliver Monday – Friday.

Volunteers are free to choose the days that suit them best, and the frequency that fits their schedule.

We currently operate out of a number of locations across Brisbane:

  • 30 Tel El Kebir Street, Mitchelton
  • 23 Guilfoyle Street, St Lucia
  • Aarth Cafe, 320 Roghan Road, Taigum
  • One Table, 41 Brookfield Road, Kenmore
  • Coffee Guru Kedron, 346 Gympie Road, Kedron
  • Cannon Hill Community Centre, 18 Lang Street, Cannon Hill

Simply include your address in your inquiry form and we will ensure you’re assigned to the correct service.

We are always in need of volunteers for roles including:

  • Meal delivery drivers
  • Kitchen assistance
  • Logistical support
  • Administration support
  • Marketing, social media, and communications support
  • Design, photography and videography support
  • Flyer/letter delivery
  • Event management
  • IT support
  • and many other types of assistance

We deliver meals Monday through Friday to suburbs across Brisbane and surrounding areas.

As a volunteer you choose how often you provide assistance, whether it’s daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or assistance with one off projects. We rely on volunteer power to continue providing our service and are incredibly grateful for any help you can give.
